We have started our ACE (Academic and Creative Extension) program in the Junior School for the year (previously known as TAGS).
Last term students were set a challenge to build a vessel which could float holding 25 counters and endure ‘storm’ conditions. Students worked in small groups to create their boats and come up with a story related to the voyage the vessel was required for. They had stretcher boats for soldiers, rescue vessels after a cruise ship sank, boats that simply could float and the most sea worthy vessel was designed with ants in mind.
Well done to Imogen B and Rebecca M. Students enjoyed being creative and working with peers whom they have only just met. They demonstrated excellent team work and focus on the challenge.
