Year 4 student, Ciara, is a member of the local Hills District Calisthenics Club.
This year Ciara was selected as a member of the State Sub Junior team to represent WA in the ACF 28th National Championships in South Australia, and last week, the State Championships in Perth. The team presented items in rods, club swinging, aesthetic, figure march, free exercise and song and dance. Ciara and her team-mates dedicated themselves to a grueling training schedule that encompassed training on most weekday afternoons, and many full days over weekends, while keeping up with school work.
Their commitment paid off, with the team winning both the National and State Championships.
