During Christian Living this week our Year 10 students had the privilege of listening to singer songwriter Levi McGrath.
From working with former child soldiers in Uganda, to his role as Assistant Music Director with Melbourne Street Choir Inc. and the School of Hard Knocks, Levi McGrath is committed to music and social justice – and he wants to motivate and inspire a new generation of people to stand up and make a difference.
Levi performed songs from his two albums and told stories which really spoke to our hearts about the need to love our neighbours and not limit our potential by negative thoughts. One of the highlights of the presentation was a DVD of Levi’s recent visit to a remote Aboriginal community in the Northern Territory where he and a number of other musicians have set up a music school for indigenous children.
