Students in Kindergarten have been inquiring into all things Australian, particularly the amazing and unique animals, plants and people that God has created.
They have been on nature walks, cooked damper on a campfire and enjoyed Becky Buckeroo’s Wombat Stew Show.
The students were especially excited to set off on their very first adventure to Caversham Wildlife Park. They were able to meet Australian animals face to face including a wombat, koalas, a python, kookaburras, possums and more. As part of the excursion, they also enjoyed an interactive farm show where they were taught how to shear sheep, muster, swing a billy and feed lambs. They even had a go at milking a cow!
When asked about their favourite part of the day, many students agreed that it was feeding and petting the kangaroos in the free-range enclosure.
Thank you to our parent helpers who made the day so successful!
