Guest speakers Geoff and Dianne Hall shared about what the International China Concern is doing to help disabled children in China.
The Year 7 Christian Living classes were challenged and inspired as they heard about the plight of abandoned disabled children in China and about how International China Concern provides them with a loving and nurturing home, education and hope for the future.
Geoff and Dianna, who have spent many years traveling to China to do this work, shared heart-wrenching stories of children whose lives have been turned around.
The students were also encouraged to participate in this year’s Walk the Wall fundraiser which involves a 10km walk on the morning of 16 September in Kalamunda.
Mr Hockley will be putting together a team of Swan Christian College students who are interested in participating in the event to support this worthy cause and to achieve a fundraising goal of $500.
If any parents or students from the College would like to sign up or contribute to the team’s fundraising goal please go to the following link: https://www.walkthewall.org/kalamunda/Team/View/43047/Swan-Christian-College .
