Well, it’s Friday already and we are pushing on to finish-off and to get ready for departure.

Tin roofs are going on the gazebo and picnic tables and the metal guys are finishing off windows and are training a local welder to continue their work. The electrical guys finished the fans in the gym late yesterday. The ATI school kids are getting all dressed up (full hair and makeup) for our goodbye celebration assembly followed by a big celebration lunch that we have put on for everyone, the star attractions being two ‘lechon’ (pig roast) – the traditional cultural celebration feast food. They have got full singing and dancing acts organised so it should be fantastic.

Today is the first day this week that we’ve had all hands on deck with no obvious sicknesses, which is great. We finish here at about 2pm today and then back tomorrow morning for a final clean up and transport of all the tools and equipment back down the hill to the container about 1.5km away.

All are going well. A few are getting a bit tired – they don’t grasp that late night talking, followed by an early morning start and hard work all day, tends to tire you out!!!

We leave Sunday morning around at 9:30am, aiming for a 2:30pm departure to Singapore for a day of sightseeing and fun together before coming home.

Regards
