Selected Year 6 students had the opportunity to take part in an Art Incursion, learning advanced skills from guest artists.
Students learned to paint realistic still life paintings with painter Heidi Mullender and learned to throw pots on a pottery wheel with potter Robyn Bloom. The Year 6 students produced some incredible masterpieces that they were very proud of. A big thank you to the guest artists for enriching the learning of our students.
“We were taught the basics of pottery, it was very fun. We were lucky enough to use pottery wheels to make our own bowls and pots, then we were taught about shadows and highlights to paint fruit. After we finished a draft, we got our canvas and did a real one.”
