The Pre-Primary children had a visit from the Wonderful Worm Waste incursion! They learned lots of interesting facts about worms and how we can use them in our garden to reduce waste and help the environment.
They were even shown a model of a worm that can grow up to 3m long in Queensland!
After the presentation, the children had the opportunity to dig through wet newspaper to look for worms and to view some up close through magnifying containers. They then got to make their own worm farms and were given instructions to take home about how to care for them.
The children look forward to applying their knowledge when we begin to put together and use our Pre-Primary worm farm later this term.
Thank you Vicki from Wonderful Worm Waste!
