French Chef Patissier Alexandre Lui-Van-Sheng from La Maison Saint Honoré Patisserie gave some of our Year 12 French students an exposé on his life and business story as well as a history lesson on the origins of macaroons.
The lesson included some useful baking tips and a practical lesson on how to fill these popular macaroons. Every participant thoroughly enjoyed this language immersion experience and of course the savouring of the final products.
There are several French-related small businesses in the Swan Valley, a great opportunity for our French students to appreciate some French culture and language in proximity to our college.
Thank you to La Maison Saint Honoré for hosting this excursion and to Mr Lui-Van-Sheng for taking the time to teach our students.
