We are excited to invite you to our first Community Art Exhibition featuring well-known West Australian artist Andy Quilty as well as artworks by local artists, alumni and staff.
The exhibition will be open to the public on Saturday 15 September and Sunday 16 September from 10:00am-4:00pm, and on Monday 17 September from 3:00pm-7:30pm.
Mrs Cherie Mongony, who initiated and organised the exhibition, is excited to be able to welcome well-known West Australian artist Andy Quilty to the exhibition as he has been a finalist in a number of national and international art prizes including the Black Swan Prize for Portraiture.
Among the 50 artworks showcased at the exhibition will be works by Swan Christian College alumna Rose Innes (Class of 2017), Year 12 student Clancy Mercer and College staff Mrs Cherie Mongony (Visual Art teacher) and Mr Andrew Ferguson (Property Manager).
All exhibited artworks are for sale and percentages of artworks sold will go towards feeding and educating the students at the Light Up Ahead School in Kantolomba, Zambia. Most students at the school in Zambia are sponsored by families from Swan Christian College and we would like to thank you for your continued support of Swanmissions’ developmental work in this area.
