The Year 3 and Year 5 students were involved in a maths problem-solving incursion with the clever Professor Maths.
The students faced the contest to solve maths problems in groups and their rewards were Einstein-style wigs, Super Challenge jackets and groovy glasses. They worked out that many heads were better than one and with input from all their team members they could work out solutions.
It was a challenge to work as a team at times, but once they worked out their system of listening to each other, picking up key aspects to the questions and the hidden patterns, they found the tasks solvable. Using strategy as well as persistence, was the key and the students can be very proud of their efforts. We can see some budding Einsteins in our midst here in Year 3 and Year 5 at Swan Christian College.
