The Year 12 camp was a wonderful way to end the school year. It’s true that it’s more of a ‘glamp’ than a camp in the traditional sense of the word, as students are housed in student dormitories at St. Catherine’s College and St. George’s College rather than sleeping in tents in the bush.
Students heard from a range of guest speakers (including Mr Scott) who taught and equipped them with skills that they will need in the next twelve months and beyond. The feedback from students and parents post-camp has been extremely positive. The highlights of the camp were the river cruise, a tour of UWA and watching ‘The Nutcracker’ by the West Australian Ballet at His Majesty’s Theatre.
My heartfelt thanks go to the following staff for their assistance, because without the invaluable contribution of their time and attention, camps like this would not be possible; Mrs Bullard, Mrs Allsop, Mrs Coghlan, Mrs Thyer, Mrs Wasley, Mrs Dalby, Ms Botha, Miss Beatty, Mrs Herd, Mrs di Lello, Mr Plows, Mr Ford, Mr Coleman, Mr Birkholtz, Mr Wilson, Mr Wieu, Mr Entwistle and Mr Eason.
