Free Mental Health School Holiday Program

HelpingMinds is a not for profit mental health organisation that offers free school holiday programs for young people. The programs are designed to be fun and interactive for participants, as they equip participants with the tools they need to better deal with the challenges of every day life.  

HelpingMinds offer a variety of programs in the October schools holidays designed for children who are at risk of developing a mental health issue or supporting a family member or friend with mental health challenges.

Deaf Awareness Training

Do you want to learn sign language?

Access Plus WA Deaf are offering Auslan classes for Parents & Kids during the school holidays. Basic classes will run in the first week of the school holidays, intermediate classes will run in the second week.

Swan United F.C. – Soccer Opportunities

Expressions of Interest and Registrations

To assist Swan United F.C. in preparing for the 2020 season, the club is requesting expressions of interest and intent to return for the next season. The club will be rolling out a number of new initiatives within the coming months and this information will assist the club’s preparation.

Please register your interest to technicaldirector@swanunitedfc.com by no later than 15 September 2019 to secure your place.

School Holiday Football Clinic

Williams Sports Group in conjunction with the Swan United F.C. will be running a free Football Clinic from Monday 30 September – Friday 5 October with former WA State Coach Eric Williams.

Times:

  • 8:30am – 10:00am (U12 & U13)
  • 10:30am – 12:00pm (U14 & U15)
  • 1:00pm – 2:30pm (U16 & U17)

Venue: Swan Italian Sporting Club, 9 Francis Street, Middle Swan

Cost: Free; however only the first 24 players for each group will be able to secure a spot.

Give Golf a Go

MTI Golf Academy at The Vines Resort & Country Club offers the opportunity for children ages 5+ to try out golf with their award winning team.

Sessions will be offered on:

  • Saturday 5 October form 9:00am -10:00am 
  • Friday 11 October from 11:00am to 12:00pm

  • Enrolments are now closed for 2024
  • Limited places available in Year 3, 2025
  • There are waitlists for Kindergarten and Year 7, 2025
  • There are also waitlists for Kindergarten and Year 7, 2026
  • We encourage you to submit applications at least two years in advance.
