We would like to take this opportunity to remind you of our Living Well section on the SEQTA portal page for both parents and students.

To access the Living Well section, please go to SEQTA Engage or SEQTA Learn, click on “Portals” and then on “Living Well”. The Living Well section on SEQTA contains the following links and resources for all members of the College community:

1)      Living Well lessons on Fridays during Period 1

Students in Years 7-12 will continue with their Friday Living Well lesson. The main ideas for the Living Well lesson is outlined in a table format for parents and students to view. The learning during this period is relevant and linked directly to the specific year group theme. Last week students participated in an online learning induction offered through ySafe.

2)      Insights

We have partnered with ySafe and Family Zone to offer parents free access to Insights. Family Zone Insights is a monitoring app that when installed on a child’s device, will alert parents of risky or inappropriate activity, and allow them to locate their children’s devices. Most importantly, Insights provides parents with alerts, recommendations, and practical advice from ySafe, if and when their child accesses such content. Please note, Insights will not block content. It is designed to notify parents in the event that their child accesses risky or inappropriate material, and provide parents with transparency and support resources to discuss and manage the issue with their child. The link and instructions are located on the portal section of SEQTA.

Please also note that Family Zone offer subscriptions to a variety of packages which may be of interest https://www.familyzone.com/anz/families

3)      School TV

A direct link to this outstanding resource for parents/guardians to utilise. School TV provides tips, advice and information on a range of topics for parents and teens. Each edition will address a major topic with expert interviews, fact sheets, parent quiz, recommended apps, books and more. SchoolTV aggregates information from many great resources such as BeyondBlue and ReachOut, among others. It provides a single stream of independent factual information that saves parents time and confusion of searching for information online.

4)      Mental Health links

Our school psychologist, Ms Jody Sims, has provided numerous links for extra help and strategies regarding areas of mental health for parents and teenagers to view.

5)      Physical Health

Les Mills has provided our College with a free link to a range of at home workouts, stretches and exercises for people of all fitness levels to participate in. Feel free to explore this resource through the provided link on the portal page.

6)      School Psychologist, Chaplains, Dean of Year and Mentor Teachers

Please note that our College Wellbeing team are all available via direct email or contact through the College number. Please feel free to access any member of the wellbeing team if and when needed.

Again please note that links to all areas are located on the Living Well section of the SEQTA portal page.
