“My life is as exciting as a book written by a kid who has depression.” Well, that’s not true for Levi in Year 9, but it is for a character he was creating during the Talented Young Writers Day presented by the Fremantle Literature Centre.

This term’s author was Mark Smith (The Road To Winter, Wilder Country, which won the 2018 Indie Book Award for Young Adults).

Students can ‘opt in’ to this creative writing program which runs one day each term and is presented by published Australian authors.
