On Thursday 27 May students from Year 7 – Year 12 represented Swan at the Associated and Catholic Colleges (ACC) Interschool Cross Country Carnival. Students who had finished in the Top 6 places for their division at our House Cross Country Carnival were selected for the team.

Prior to the ACC Carnival, there were training sessions twice a week before school, and the team also attended a North Eastern Associated Schools (NEAS) training meet in preparation. I would like to give a special thank you to Mr Dallin, Mr Ellis, Dr Todd and Mr Anderson for training the team this year.

The carnival was held at Perry Lakes Reserve in Floreat and 75 schools were competing, with each race having approximately 350 runners. Our runners gave their all and I was very proud of the way that they represented the team and the College. The following students came in the Top 5 places for their division, which is an excellent achievement and worthy of a special mention:

It was a great experience for our students and staff, and it was pleasing to see some parents there supporting our team.

I look forward to seeing our team continue to improve for next year’s ACC carnival!
