Our Kindergarten A class had the great honour of welcoming one of our parents, Mrs Kalli, into their classroom for a lesson on traditional belly dance technique from Mrs Kalli’s home country of Bahrain.
Mrs Kalli brought in skirts with bells, scarves and music for the students to dance to. They looked just like real dancers! The students loved the bells on the scarves and using their hands to dance with.
As the students explore diversity within their community, they learn to respond respectfully and build an understanding of different backgrounds, heritages and traditions.
The incursion has created a lot of excitement and wonder in Kindergarten A. A big thank you to Mrs Kalli for making this happen!
