A day in the life of a Science Department can be varied and lots of fun. Our Year 10 Physics students are currently looking at Newton’s Law and experimenting with how fast we can make a balloon travel, depending on the size of the balloon and how much mass it is carrying.
Our Year 12 Chemistry students have nearly finished their course with one final practical using titrations to determine the amount of acetic acid in vinegar. Our Year 11s are super busy with the Year 11 Chemistry class looking at how different types and concentrations of acids affect the conductivity of a solution.
Our Human Biology students are developing their own investigation to determine the factors that affect DNA extraction from strawberries.
