VacSwim Enrolments Now Open
Primary school
Enrolments are now open for VacSwim swimming lessons during the summer school holidays. VacSwim offers fun lessons at beach or pool locations. They are a great school holiday activity and they teach valuable safety skills to help keep your child safe in the water.

Secondary school
If your child is over 13 years old, you can enrol them in VacSwim so they can get their Bronze Medallion during the summer school holidays. They’ll learn advanced survival, rescue and resuscitation skills to help keep themselves and others safe in the water.

WAAPA Summer School 2022
This summer, the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) is offering a range of performing arts courses as part of our school holiday program for secondary school students.
Classes for young people from Year 7 to 12 in Acting, Drama, Screen Performance, Jazz and Music Theatre mean there is something for everyone with a passion for the Arts.

Australian Veterans & Children Assistance Trust (AVCAT) Scholarships
Applications for 2022 AVCAT Scholarships close 31 October 2021.

AVCAT Scholarships are for the children and grandchildren of Australian ex-serving veterans.
To be eligible students must be:
- The child, stepchild, foster child, or grandchild of an Australian ex-serving veteran
- An Australian citizen or permanent resident
- Enrolled, or planning to enrol in a full-time course at an Australian university, TAFE or registered training organisation in 2022
- In receipt of, or eligible to receive, Centrelink payments including Youth Allowance, ABSTUDY, Austudy or an accepted means-tested Commonwealth government payment in 2022
