We are delighted to announce that Year 7 student, Sahara D, has been awarded the Luke Durbridge Scholarship for 2023 out of 19 applicants this year! This generous scholarship will be aiding Sahara on her journey to compete in the World Irish Dance Championships in Canada.
Sahara will be travelling to Ohio on 25 March to receive a week of intense training from the teachers of The Academy. After the week of training, she will depart for Canada on 31 March. The championships will be held from 2-9 April, with Sahara returning to Perth on 12 April. We are confident that Sahara will make the most out of this incredible opportunity, and we cannot wait to hear of her progress. We would like to thank everyone who has supported Sahara on her journey and we look forward to hearing how she progresses in the championship.
