There are upcoming changes to the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) that will reduce the cost of Before and After School Care and Vacation Care for eligible families. Click here for an info sheet about these changes. Here are the top 3 things to know about the upcoming changes to CCS:

  1. The maximum CCS percentage is increasing. Families earning up to $80,000 will get an increased maximum CC, from 85% to 90%.
  2. The income limit is increasing. Families earning up to $530,000 may now be eligible for CCS, the CCS percentage they are entitled to will depend on their family’s income (this was previously capped at $356,756).
  3. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children can get at least 36 hours of subsidised care per fortnight. This is regardless of the family’s income or activity level.
