We are delighted to announce that Swanonline graduate, Chloe Threadgold, has been accepted into the scholarship program at Texas Christian University. Chloe’s mother, Carly Buck (now Cat Threadgold), was one of the original Mundaring Christian College students, and her aunt, Saira Buck, also attended both Mundaring Christian College and Swan Christian College. Despite family challenges preventing Carly and Saira from completing their education, Chloe’s graduation and success are a testimony to the Lord’s transformative power in their family.
Chloe shares her story:
I am a former Swanonline student (Class of 2017) and wanted to touch base with an update on my college application in Texas I emailed about back in December.
Firstly, thank you so much for your super helpful and prompt assistance with submitting my high school transcript in accordance with the school’s policy. The process has been quite intense and your help with this step was much appreciated!
I am pleased to confirm I was both accepted into Texas Christian University and awarded a scholarship. This is one of Texas’ most prestigious universities and tuition alone costs $61,650 per year. I was awarded an academic scholarship based on my grades from the last two years and an international student financial aid grant that covers the total cost of tuition when combined.
As you can imagine, I did not hesitate in accepting such an amazing offer. I will be graduating from community college with my two-year Associate of Arts degree with Honours next week. Then, beginning in August, I will start my three-year journey of completing a Bachelor of Science in Social Work and Child Development at TCU. I feel like I have finally found the perfect study path for me and am so excited for the opportunities ahead with these two majors!
