A Colourful Start to Year 12

The Swan Christian College Living Well program delivers strategies to better understand our changing world. The program is individualised for students in Years 7 through to 12 and actively focuses on preparing them for life beyond school.

Our Year 11s who officially started Year 12 this term enjoyed a Living Well event on Tuesday 23 November with different team-building exercises including: an alumni panel, designing house banners, sports, barbeque and a messy but fun Colour Rush at the end.

After their last day on campus, the students headed off to their Year 12 Camp in the city before enjoying their well-earned break. A break that they will appreciate as they embark on a busy year.

Here’s an insight into the Year 12 Living Well program, which focuses on Gratitude and Legacy. As the excitement and nerves of leaving school for the Year 12s becomes real, the program helps students focus on what it means to live their lives well. To show gratitude to those around them like friends, families and teachers; and look forward to life beyond the College.

Importantly, it gives the Year 12s the opportunity to form stronger bonds to experience new things and to leave a lasting legacy, a legacy that will contribute to the rich culture of the College.

Thank you to students, alumni members, parents, staff, especially our Dean of Year 11, Dr Nicole Todd, and Mr Dave Pitman, for organising a day to remember!
