Saturday 19 August, was a special day for our Year 6 netball team, SC10. They swapped their uniforms for aprons and hosted a Bake Sale and Sausage Sizzle fundraiser that hit all the right notes.
The goal? Not just indulging in treats (although there were plenty of those), but also raising funds for all netball teams who play in the Swan Districts division. Each team is given a Saturday to host the bake sale and BBQ during the season to raise funds for the year end wrap-up and trophies. By the end of the day the fundraising event raised an outstanding total of $1930.55!
The team’s efforts were met with support from near and far, and even the youngest member of the Swan Pre Primary family joined in the fun. Kudos to Amanda Duff, a dedicated coach and proud parent, who made the day even more special.
Making the day even brighter was the visit from Principal Darnelle Pretorius and her husband. Their presence was greatly appreciated. Buying treats and cheering on our Year 6 players, their encouragement meant a lot to them.
This event isn’t just about baking – it’s a tradition that brings together all netball teams in the Swan Districts division. SC10 embraced the responsibility and made it an unforgettable affair.
Well done to everyone who pitched in, indulged their taste buds, and shared in the netball community’s spirit.
