In October, Miss Cherie Tucker and Mrs Nicky Tonkin were invited to the Black Swan Prize for Portraiture Youth Exhibition Award night.

The Visual Arts teachers were proud to accept an award for Swan Christian College’s outstanding artwork entries into the Year 7-9 high school category of the competition.

The Black Swan is Western Australia’s most prestigious art award. The prize awarded to our College is a half day artist workshop valued at $500 to enrich classroom learning for our amazing students. We look forward to announcing this workshop in near future.

Swan Christian College art students have been successfully submitting artworks into the Black Swan Prize for Portraiture Exhibition for the past eight years. It is an opportunity for them to showcase their creative talents and to challenge them from an artistic perspective through the complex field of portraiture.
