Day 6: Thursday:

Thursday started with a well deserved sleep-in and a big buffet breakfast. At 10am we jumped onto the bus and drove to IJM (International Justice Mission). Here we listened to a presentation about the work this organisation does in order to make a difference in Cambodia.

After visiting IJM we went for lunch at Blue Pumpkin where we met Tim James who drove with us on the 2 hour journey to Sunshine House. Nobody could contain their excitement on the way there, and there was even a sing-a-long when Steven pulled out the guitar.

Once at Sunshine House we went straight to our rooms, dropped off our luggage, then it was time for a tour. Once we had been shown around the grounds we had dinner with the children who looked on eagerly as they awaited their chance to say hello. After dinner there were a few chores to be done which everyone raced through as they knew that finishing meant time to play with the children. Some kicked the soccer ball around, some played games with stones, some played chasey, some sang songs, and some did drawing activities.

Later in the evening after prayer and song time we headed off to bed, exhausted, but excited for what may come tomorrow!
