The Department of Parks and Wildlife’s Nearer to Nature team provides the community with unique, enjoyable activities that help participants discover marvellous natural areas in and around Perth. Nearer to Nature’s overall aim is to increase the community’s environmental awareness, knowledge and skills, including the related heritage of Indigenous and European cultures.
There will be a range of special holiday events taking place for over winter including a scavenger hunt, adventure caving, bush cooking and an eco treasure hunt. Families and children can enjoy a range of Nearer to Nature activities at various venues around Perth from 2 – 29 July, 2017.

The Australian College of Nursing (ACN) is the pre-eminent and national leader of the nursing profession. Our mission is to enhance health care by advancing nurse leadership. We do this by developing the leadership skills and expertise of nurses.
ACN will be playing a leading role in promoting the profession of nursing to the general public at the upcoming ACN Nursing & Health Expo to be held from 8:30am – 1:30pm on Sunday 18 June 2017 at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.
We would love to encourage your students to attend this free event to network and explore career opportunities. We would appreciate if you could display the Expo poster at your school and spread the word amongst your students. More information about the Expo can be found on our website.

Swanmissions is hosting a Quiz night to raise urgently needed finances for the building of a new toilet block at our Light Up Ahead School in Kantolomba, Zambia.
A big feature of the Quiz Night is the Silent Auction. We are currently seeking the donation of goods or vouchers from families and businesses associated with the College. A donation will draw promotion of your business to over 1000 families through our College news, and to over 300 people on the night itself.
Businesses will also have an opportunity to attend the night as a complimentary VIP guest (for donations over $100), and further promote their business through any supplied cards or discount vouchers which will be distribute to those who attend the Quiz Night.
