July School Holidays | Lego® Therapy at St Jude’s
St Jude’s workshops are targeted at children aged between 6 -12 who may have autism or experience other challenges and could benefit from practicing their social and communication skills with peers their own age.
Their program utilises Lego® Therapy, which is exactly what is sounds like, the use of Lego® in a therapy setting which promotes the development of the following skills:
- Turn Taking
- Making Friends
- Waiting
- Sharing
- Listening
- Problem Solving
- Communicating
- Much more!

Youth Out Loud
The City of Swan’s Youth Out Loud is a public speaking competition for young people aged 12 to 25 who live, work, attend school or belong to a club in the City of Swan.
As a result of COVID-19, the competition planned for July this year will not run in its usual format. This year, the competition will be held online and contestants will submit their speech as a video.
Please submit your video, written speech and forms by Monday, August 31, 2020.
To enter the competition, please submit the following using the online registration form at https://www.swan.wa.gov.au/Your-Community/Youth/Youth-programs/Youth-Out-Loud.

- Consent and Release Agreement Form
- A written transcript of your speech
- A video of your speech (maximum six minutes), uploaded to YouTube. Please ensure this is uploaded as unlisted/private, so only the judging panel can view it.
