Diabetes Research Fundraiser
Help Year 6 student Ethan Fair raise funds towards one of Diabetes Research WA’s annual diabetes grants. Ethan recently met his hero, Jamie Cripps, who plays for the West Coast Eagles and also lives with Type 1 Diabetes. Ethan would like to help Jamie raise $60,000 to fund a local research grant.

Swan Districts Teeball Have-a-Go Day
Swan Districts Teeball will be holding a Have-a-Go Day on Saturday 5 October from 10:00am – 2:00pm at North Swan Park, Patterson Drive, Middle Swan.
As an incentive to register, fees for children playing for the first time will be $60.00 for the season. Players returning will pay fees of $70.00 per season and Tiny Tots will pay $30.00.

School Holiday Program at Mundaring Art Centre
Mundaring Art Centre will be offering lots of new creative workshops to keep kids and teens entertained during the break, running across both Mundaring and Midland.
Let your kids’ imagination run free with a choice of our ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, wearable art and sketching workshops for kids aged 7 – 12 years. Teens aged between 12 – 20 years old can create wearable art, jewellery, painted pet portraits or learn to create a GIF animation. All teen workshops are only $10 thanks to funding from the Shire of Mundaring and Lotterywest. The Centre will also be offering a couple of workshops suitable for both adults and children if you’re looking for something for the whole family to enjoy.

Body Bike Fit
Run by Amanda O’Connor, from X-Speed Australia Cycling Club and National Cycling Centre.
- All equipment – including bike – provided. Venue: SpeedDome, Midvale
- 12 week cycling programme for girls aged 12-18 years
- Starting first week of Term 4, 2019 (14 October)
- Training: Monday and Thursday 4.30pm-6.00pm
- Cost: $85
- Great strengthening and fitness for girls during the football & netball off season.
- Great for girls who have had foot impact injuries and are looking to take up a sport with reduced impact through the foot.
