Year 11 Economics student, Cameron has finished in 3rd place in WA in the 2016 ASX Schools Sharemarket Game 2.
This is an impressive achievement as over 70,000 students participate in this game each year. They are each given $50,000 to invest over 10 weeks in 200 companies listed on the ASX using an Internet trading account.
The prices students buy and sell at are the same prices they would get in the live market so this is as close to real life share trading as you can get. Students are engaged by sophisticated real-life technology, which makes this game both fun and educational. Most importantly, it helps them discover the importance of wise investment decisions while gaining a greater knowledge of economic and world events.
