Last Friday, the Year 7 and 8 students met for their first Corporate Worship of the year.
Corporate Worship is where we come together to hear the Bible read and taught, to pray, to sing and to encourage each other. It is held twice a term. The Middle School students are currently exploring some of the key people in the Bible.
Last Friday, one of the new staff, Mr Ashley Moseley taught students about the prophet Elijah from 1 Kings 18. We all enjoyed learning a new song ‘Oh Happy Day’ led by some of the music staff.
I am encouraged by the increased involvement of students in Corporate Worship who are serving the College community by reading the Bible to us and leading us in prayer. Andrew Raymond is training up a group of Middle School students to serve us as a worship band, and they are eagerly awaiting their first appearance later in the term.
