Earlier this month, 20 of our Year 9 students participated in the Adventurous Journey as a part of their Duke of Edinburgh Bronze award.
This journey gives the students the opportunity to learn more about the wider environment, as well as to develop self-confidence, team work and health. The students camped in Dwellingup for four days and participated in two 8km hikes, a series of trust games, High Ropes, raft building, an amazing race and much more. We look forward to seeing these students graduate and receive their awards early in 2019.
The Duke of Edinburgh award also involves learning a skill, serving the community and participating in a physical recreation activity for a minimum of 6 months.
Current Year 8 students can sign up for the Bronze award at the start of 2019. Year 10 students who have completed their Duke of Edinburgh award can go on to doing their Silver and Gold badges.
