Our Pre-Primary students had a lot of fun last week learning about the wonderful benefits of worm waste in our garden.
The students couldn’t wait to roll up their sleeves to handle and observe the wriggly, slimy worms up close. Did you know that earthworms have no eyes, ears or teeth but they have five hearts? Worms can eat their entire body weight worth of food in one day, which makes them fantastic waste reducers for our food scraps. Some worms like the Gippsland worm can grow as long as three Pre Primary students!
We were excited to make our own mini worm farms to take home and share with our family and friends.
