It has been a dazzling week (27 March to 1 April) at Swan Christian College as more than 70 students and staff presented Disney’s High School Musical on Stage.
The week kicked off with a staff family event and final dress rehearsal on Monday night. The College leaders provided a sausage sizzle before the event in the Maali Mia theatre for staff and their families before it opened to the public on Tuesday night.
Audiences were raving about the talent they saw on stage and how much they enjoyed the performances. High School Musical was a wonderful way to bring our SCEA community together as students from fellow SCEA Schools enjoyed a matinee ahead of the final two shows of the production on Friday and Saturday night respectively.
Congratulations to Production Director, Ms Jane Hille, Musical Director, Miss Susannah Morcombe, Choreographer, Mrs Beth Balla, and the wonderful team for delivering an outstanding production and showcasing the God-given talents of our students and staff. Special thanks goes to our Principal, Dr Darnelle Pretorius, for attending all six shows and being an avid supporter of the production. We would also like to thank the hospitality team lead by Robert Do Carmo who prepared delicious Asian-inspired meals for appreciative audiences before each show and the Property and Services and Advancement teams for their hard work in promoting, managing the logistics, selling tickets and organising the events.
