Transitioning to SCEA Managed Devices
As part of SCEA’s move to a consistent Apple platform by 2026, on-campus students will transition from the BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) system to a SCEA-maintained device program, offering enhanced support and a secure learning platform. These changes do not impact Swanonline students.
However, for 2025, students are still required to bring their own device. If your child already has a device, there is no need to purchase a new one for 2025. However, if you are planning to purchase a new device, please refer to the email that was sent out recently with details about recommended devices.
Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) IT Days
We have scheduled Bring Your Own Device Days for all students to assist them in setting up their devices in preparation for the school year.
Parents and guardians, please note the following Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) IT days for students in Junior, Senior Schools and Swanonline:

Important Information for BYOD IT Days
We kindly ask parents to ensure that any new devices are unboxed and fully set up with personal accounts prior to Bring Your Own Device Days. Please note that we are unable to assist with the initial setup of the device or the creation of personal accounts required for new devices, as this is the responsibility of families.
Once the device is ready to use, we will gladly assist with setting it up for use at the College. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Important Changes from SEQTA to Canvas
Next year, we will transition from SEQTA to Canvas for Year 4–12 students, with student logins available in Term 1, 2025. SEQTA will be discontinued from 2025.
All parents (Junior and Senior Schools) are reminded to download all academic reports from SEQTA before 31 December 2024, as access will no longer be available after this date.
