Congratulations to Katherine in Year 12, and Cooper and Samara in Year 9 who have been nominated as Lester Prize 2021 Youth Awards Finalists!

Only 30 artworks were chosen from over 150 works entered from around the state. The Lester Prize is considered one of the most prestigious art prizes in the country and it is a huge honour for our students to have been selected.

All students’ artworks feature self-portraits: Katherine produced an artwork titled ‘Oblivion Closing In’ to express how it feels to deal with anxiety, and Cooper and Samara completed a project that required them to think about something important to them – so Cooper drew his dog and Samara drew the map of Africa to represent her heritage.

The Youth Exhibition will be on display at Brookfield Place (Tower 2, 125 St Georges Tce, Perth) from Monday 18 October to Friday 12 November.
