On Monday 22 August Senior School students and staff travelled to the WA Athletics Stadium for the Senior House Athletics Carnival. After having to postpone the carnival from the previous Tuesday due to wet weather, we were blessed with a beautifully sunny day on Monday.
Kindness is a sought-after value and although widely promoted, is difficult to measure. Although there are many frameworks to address this conundrum, I suspect seeking to practice kindness and to measure the effects will continue to be a worthwhile endeavour for years to come.
The Year 2 students have a class sponsored child named Joshua. To raise funds for him the Year 2 classes joined together to make jars filled with goodies and sold jars to students for $1 to $3 each
Fenceline Theatre Company presents another amazing Junior School production: Johnny Comelately. Johnny Comelately is a story about a young man who has disengaged from his family, friends and school. He has been gobbled up by the lure of technology and the online world of playing games, watching YouTube clips, Instagram reels and TikTok clips.
On Friday 2 September our Kindergarten to Year 6 dads are invited to a delicious breakfast sausage sizzle and fun activities around the Junior School Campus to celebrate our amazing dads!

SchoolTV provides valuable resources and information from Dr Michael Carr-Gregg (Child and Adolescent Psychologist). SchoolTV provides informative articles and small video clips educating parents and guardians of issues confronting our youth and tips to help you as parents. A number of excellent articles can be found on this page including resilience, raising boys/girls, trauma, grief, blended families, body image, mindfulness, gambling, sexting, bullying and much more.
The Living Well platform is targeted at students from Years 7-12 with specific programs and experiences strategically chosen for our students at their age group.
The Swan Trade Training Centre students will be honouring their dads, grandfathers, uncles and father figures at the STTC Fathers Day Breakfast on Thursday 1 September.

During the school holidays, the Year 4 team from Swan Christian College won the Fuel to Go & Play Lightning Netball Carnival held on Friday 22 July.

Our Kindergarten students in Kindy C planted up a storm in Terms 1 and 2. As part of their inquiry learning, the children have been actively engaged in a gardening program where they helped to cultivate some of the wonderful creations God has provided in the garden. The students have watched plants grow from seedlings and have learnt to care for them and appreciate nature.
