The College will be holding an important Parent Session to equip parents to have crucial conversations with their teens and tweens about the severe side effects of synthetic drugs.

–       How to get help

About Sideffect

Sideffect is an Australian not-for-profit charity that is aiming to educate young people about synthetic drugs. The organisation was started by Rodney Bridge (who will be speaking at this parent session) after the death of his son, Preston. Preston died at the age of 16, after taking a synthetic form of LSD in February 2013, during the after party of his school ball.

Sideffect was born out of that understanding, that people need to know more about these drugs in order to make informed choices. The consequences of taking drugs, especially synthetic drugs, need to be heard and reiterated so that we can stop this epidemic in its tracks.
