As part of our Living Well program, please join us for our second parent session of the year. This session will be led by Adam Prytula from Armed for Life.
Topic: Building Resilience in Kids
Resilience is such a fundamental quality that we all need to function well and be happy. When we lack resilience we are almost guaranteed to be miserable for the rest of our lives because resilience is all about how we deal with problems – and we will always face those. Resilience is a skill that we can all develop and without it, so many facets of life are affected including our mental health.
This session is focused on the points and qualities we can educate our children on to help them build better resilience and as a parent the ABSOLUTE importance of modelling resilience – and dealing with problems in a healthy way so our kids learn to do the same. We also discuss what parenting style that produces the most resilient kids (Hint: It is not Helicopter parenting!!)
