On 9 September, our Year 10 students will lead an R U OK Day lunchtime event to bring awareness to the important issue of mental health. The event aims to help students support others in their personal growth journey.
Through beautiful balloons, magnificent music and great company, this important lunchtime event seeks to support all students and staff at Swan Christian College. This day is teaching us about R U OK, both for ourselves and our peers.
R U OK day is a day to recognise the importance of mental health in the real world and the support that is available to everybody.
Sometimes it’s not possible to be okay all the time, and that’s okay. There are many resources available to ensure you and your peers have access to the mental or emotional help they may need.
Check in on mates and ask R U OK?
R U OK day is a day to focus on building confidence and increased skills for people so they can navigate a conversation with someone in their life who might be struggling.
