Second Annual Revelation Film Festival/Australian Teachers of Media WA Media Education Seminar
On Wednesday 12 July, upper school Media students, teachers and university students are invited to a Media Education Seminar.
The seminar, which is being held from 9:15am-3:30pm, is specifically designed with the Year 11 and 12 Media Production and Analysis ATAR and General courses in mind. This year it is jam packed with industry presenters/media educators covering a range of topics in the morning, concluding with practical workshops in the afternoon.
Pitched at Year 11 and 12 Media students, and their teachers, all sessions relate to sections of the Media Production and Analysis course.
Topics include Documentary Filmmaking, Independent/Art/Experimental film, Documentary as Propaganda, Art Film Movements, Independent Film Distribution, Gender Representation in Film Noir, Infographics for Revision, DSLR Videography (BYO camera), Animating in Adobe After Effects and more.
The event will be held at North Metropolitan TAFE in Northbridge. $50 for high school students plus booking fees. If you are considering a career in media, want to enhance your knowledge of Year 12 ATAR MPA and meet some industry professionals this is an invaluable opportunity!
