The Year 9 Sons and Daughters dinners were held over two nights at Mandoon Estate. Each night started with pre-dinner soft drinks in the foyer, as guitarist Michael Day entertained us with background music, followed by a three-course meal.
Mr Pitman spoke each night and guests were entertained by the chosen guest speaker. It was a great evening seeing the students spend time with someone who they believed invested heavily into their lives over the years.
The Sons and Daughters Dinner was the conclusion of the Year 9 program and camp. This year students have been inspired around the theme of ‘Story and Challenge’ as they embraced the concept of a coming of age. The year allowed us to look at boy to man and girl to woman thinking as students spent time unpacking this idea.
A big thank you to Mr David Pitman (Dean of Year 9) for leading the program this year.
