Swan Christian College is celebrating the outstanding achievements of its sporting teams during Term 2, as they embody the college’s core values of RISE: Respect, Integrity, Spirituality, and Excellence. The hard work and dedication of all participants have resulted in remarkable accomplishments across various competitions.
Throughout the term, our teams consistently demonstrated their commitment and skill. Their performances reflected the college’s values and left us filled with pride. Despite facing various challenges, our students consistently demonstrated great sportsmanship and passion for their respective sports. Their commitment to representing Swan Christian College with integrity is commendable and reflects the core values instilled within our community.
Results of the teams over Term 2 can be summarised as follows:
5 May:
- Year 10-12 Boys Basketball Team defeated Corpus Christi College in the Round of 16 in the ACC Championships.
- Other teams showed sportsmanship, grit, and determination in their matches.
19 May:
- Year 7-9 Netball and Soccer teams played against Ellenbrook Christian College in Round 2 of the NEAS Competition.
- Senior and junior boys had fixtures against Eastern Hills Senior High School in Round 3 of the WAFC.
26 May:
- Year 7-9 Boys and Girls played against La Salle College in Round 3 of the NEAS Soccer and Netball.
- Years 10-12 Boys and Girls had fixtures against Helena College in Round 1 of the NEAS Netball and Soccer competition.
- Junior School Boys defeated Darling Range Sports College in Round 4 of WAFC Boys AFL.
9 June:
- Senior School students produced terrific results on the netball courts and soccer pitches in rounds 2 and 4 of their respective NEAS Competitions against Swan Valley Anglican and Ellenbrook Christian College.
23 June:
Congratulations to our sports teams for achieving excellent results in their respective NEAS Netball and Soccer Grand Finals:
- Year 7 Girls Netball beat La Salle 32-21.
- Year 8/9 Girls Netball beat La Salle 25-21.
- Year 8/9 Boys Soccer beat La Salle 3-0.
- Year 10-12 Boys Soccer lost to La Salle 1-1 (3-5 on penalties).
