On Tuesday, 6 February and Wednesday, 14 February 2024 our Senior School students competed in the House Swimming Carnival at Bayswater Waves. On Tuesday the Year 10-12 students competed and the following Wednesday was the Year 7-9 students’ turn. We were blessed with great weather on both days with the Year 7-9 carnival a little more challenging with the heat. It was great to see an increase in attendance and participation from last year with students across both dates representing their houses well.

After the Year 10-12 carnival Shenton House held a small lead over Kennedy in second place and we were able to present the champion and runner up students from Year 10-12 at their carnival. Towards the end of the Year 10-12 carnival, it was still Shenton with a small lead over Kennedy. On the other hand, Kennedy overtook Shenton and came in first at the Year 7-9 carnival. After tallying the results from both swimming carnivals, Shenton emerged as the overall swimming champion in 2024. Congratulations to Shenton!

Thank you to the staff in attendance for making the carnivals run smoothly, to the parents who came to support and also assist with timing, and to the students for their positive participation on the day. The ACC interschool squad will be chosen from the carnivals and notification of selection will be communicated in the coming weeks.
