Back in 2019, Year 9 Drama students (who are now in Year 10) participated in Australian Oracy Association Assessments with ‘Very High’ and ‘Outstanding’ results.
Oracy Australia is about developing confident and respectful oral communicators. They champion the importance of the spoken word as a vital life skill.
Swan’s Year 9 Drama students all achieved in the ‘Very High’ and ‘Outstanding’ range, reflective of the hard work, the skills and the respectful manner in which they collaborated and discussed the pieces presented – discussion skills are also assessed.
With no assemblies affording an opportunity to present the Certificates, we finally managed to honour some of the students at the recent showing of the filmed Fenceline production of Fame Jnr. Pictured here are the now Year 10 students Annika, Ryan, Anke and Lachlan, who were also in Fame Jnr with a very proud teacher, Mr Matthews.
