Mr Alec Duncan from Child’s Play Music treated our students to a wonderful Science and Music incursion.
Some of the comments from the students were: “That was the best day ever”, “I have never done anything like that” and “That was like a circus, but even better!” They were able to consolidate important Science understandings relating to our topic this term Sound, as they explored high and low sounds, sound waves and vibrations during the incursion.
Mr Duncan made his instruments by hand from household items and recycled building materials. He explained to the students how he made them and then gave them time to play, strum, bang, shake and blow during a hands-on and wonderfully interactive session of discovery.
