To kick off our Term 2 topic ‘Around the World in 55 Days’, the Year 2s had the amazing opportunity to learn through a multicultural fair, run by some of the mums within our cohort.
The students were excited to participate in a range of activities such as learning new games and languages, listening to stories and dressing up in traditional clothes! We were excited to have the following countries represented: South Africa, East Timor, Mauritius, Germany, Italy and England.
The Bible says in Psalm 139, that ‘you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.’ This term, as we explore other cultures and countries around the world, we will look through the lens of this verse at how God has created all of us and that we are unique.
A special thank you to all of those who volunteered on the day and so willingly created exciting learning experiences for the Year 2s. It was a day to remember!
