This term we began with a fun WOW Day.
Year 2 held an International Food Market in the undercover area, with parents helping to run food stations and sharing fun facts about different countries. The students tried a variety of traditional cuisines from Japan, China, Sri Lanka, Scotland, Wales, South Africa, France and Mexico. They were eager to try all the different foods and had a great time learning about the countries.
The Bible says in Psalm 139 “You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well”. This term as we explore other cultures and countries around the world, the students will look through the lens of this verse at how God has created all of us and that we are unique. They will celebrate differences and focus on how we all need each other. In 1 Corinthians 12, it says that we are all different, just like the parts of a body. Although we may look different or have different strengths, we all need each other.
A very big thank you to all of those who volunteered on the day.
