We are proud to share that Nate, a talented Year 6 student, was selected to represent Western Australia at the School Sport Australia 12 Years and Under Boys Netball Championships, held in Melbourne from 7 to 13 September 2024.

Nate’s passion for netball began in Year 3, when he joined the Spring netball team, supported by coach Vanessa Farber and the Swan Christian College Netball Club. Since then, he has participated in various competitions and clinics, including the Thunder League Clinics and the Hamersley Comets Holiday Clinic, which led to his selection for the State Team trials.

After progressing through multiple trial phases, Nate was chosen as one of 12 boys to represent WA. In preparation for the championships, the team trained twice a week and competed at the Southside Demons Netball Carnival.

At the National Championships, the WA team played two games per day and enjoyed a memorable tour of Melbourne on their rest day. While the boys didn’t place in the top three, they achieved some great wins and built lasting friendships.

Nate’s journey continues, as he will participate in the Junior Thunder League and has also signed with the Hamersley Comets 2025 Academy Program, aiming to represent WA in the future.

We are incredibly proud of Nate’s achievements and look forward to supporting him in his netball career!
