Year 9 student Joshua L has had a busy few weeks. Not only did he recently receive the Australian Scout Award, which is the highest award possible for 11-15-year-old students in the Scouts program, he also is one of the youngest people to complete a Certificate II in Outdoor Recreation.
To be awarded the Australian Scout Award, Scouts must complete Milestone 3 (each Milestone takes around 6-12 months to complete), achieve a high level of bushcraft, bushwalking and camping skills, and complete six specialist interest areas requiring an investment of at least eight hours each. This also includes leadership skills and the planning and leading of an adventurous journey.
Congratulations on two outstanding achievements, Joshua!
